What a marvelously glorious day! Today, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. bI pray the spiritual clutter you’ve been releasing this past week has helped to deepen your relationship with Him.
Today, I urge you to throw out the trash. Don’t just identify the spiritual clutter–pack it up and throw it out!
Give yourself a few moments today to review the lessons of the past week. If there are any cleansing exercises you didn’t’ get a chance to complete, do those, too.
Of all the things we allow to clog up and clutter our spirits, isolation has to be the one that causes us the most heart pain.
We continue to stay stuck in the regret, guilt, shame, and negative experiences of our past because we try to overcome it all on our own. We feel lonely. We keep all of our feelings, emotions and frustrations bottled up inside. All because we think no one could ever truly understand what we are going through.
During my morning meditation, I was led today to remind you of a very important truth—you are not alone.
And this is true no matter what your situation may be.
If you are facing a tough obstacle that seems impenetrable…or, if you’re being a superhero and trying to do everything all by yourself. The truth still remains…you are not alone.
Hebrews 13:5 says, “for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (Amplified Bible)
And, in addition to God being with you, I am with you. My mission is to help women of faith live the purposeful, powerful and prosperous lives God created you to live. That’s why I’m so glad you joined me on this journey of spiritual cleansing. I want to help you, hold your hand, and guide you through this process…all the while revealing my own experiences so you won’t feel all by yourself in this. And, even after this 21 day devotional experience, I’ll be here for you!
As we continue in our week of refreshing your spirit, here are a few additional verses from God’s Word to encourage you today:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.: Psalm 139: 7 – 10
“No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.” Joshua 1: 5-6
“Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord. Jeremiah 23:23-24
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.: Zephaniah 3:17
Meditate on one of the above scriptures each day this week. Reflect on God’s presence in your life.
And, don’t forget to share. Someone you know may need to hear this message.
Mounds of newspapers, magazines, and mail dated decades ago piled up from floor to ceiling. Closets, floors, even bathtubs filled with mementos and trinkets that have lost their value. Every square inch of space occupied. The only way in or out is by navigating a tiny winding path carved out among the rubble.
After watching several documentaries about hoarding, I’ve learned that as isolated as they are, hoarders actually crave intimacy and fulfillment in their lives. Yet, they are imprisoned by the mounds of debris they have accumulated around them.
To break free, hoarders must take three critical steps: (1) recognize their condition as a problem, (2) seek help, and (3) learn to let go. It’s not an easy task by any means. However, once a hoarder completes the journey miraculous transformation occurs. When they finally purge the junk in their homes that has held them captive for years, they are then free to experience the happiness, peace, and fulfillment they desire.
We may shake our heads in pity at the dysfunction of a hoarder, but how many of us have our own internal case of hording? How many of us feel trapped by less visible spiritual bondage?
Maybe you’re holding on to shame over what you have done in the past and can’t imagine a new future. Perhaps your heart is so filled with resentment and bitterness toward people who have hurt and disappointed you before that you can’t even conceive trusting anyone ever again. Or maybe, your thoughts are so filled with negativity that you can’t even see positive opportunities when they come your way.
We think we can just push this spiritual clutter to the side and go on with our lives. But one pile of spiritual debris attracts another…which attracts another…which attracts another. Soon, you are buried under a sea of hurt, pain, fear, resentment, and bitterness. And, because your soul can only take so much, your internal clutter eventually spills out into other parts of your life. You start to see the effects emotionally, physically, socially, and sometimes even financially.
The great news is the condition doesn’t have to be terminal. When you recognize that you’ve been holding on to spiritual clutter, ask for help, and then learn to let go—you’ll be free to enjoy the power, purpose, and prosperity God has waiting for you.
Cleansing Exercise What are you hoarding?
Grab your journal and pen and go to a quiet place. For a few moments, reflect in silence about the things that might be clogging up your soul. Maybe it’s certain emotions, habits, thoughts, or even people. Make a list of all the things that come to you.
Now, look back over your list noticing how each of these things has blocked the free flow of God’s blessing in your life.
Pray and ask God to help you release these things from yoru life.
Soul Food Meditate on this scripture today.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. ~ Psalm 51:10 (KJV)

Have you been feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled lately?
Have you been a bit disappointed because your life doesn’t look like you’ve always dreamed it should?
It may seem as if everything is working against you. Your career…your finances…your relationships all seem to be one big struggle.
In moments like these it’s easy to get frustrated and forget that life doesn’t have to be this way.
Today, I want to remind you of Jesus’ words in John 10:10 – “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” ~John 10:10 (Amplified Bible)
Your life is meant to be lived and enjoyed.
And, if you’ve been settling for anything less than that, it’s time for a shift.
5 Powerful Steps To The Dream Life You Desire..And Deserve
I’ve discovered there are five steps to going from a mediocre existence to a happy, healthy, and prosperous life.
Here they are…
Detox Your Life. It’s hard to see how amazing your life truly is when there is so much clutter in the way. And, I’m not just talking about the stack of laundry that’s been piling up for the last few weeks. There is toxic clutter inside of you that can clog your mind, body, and spirt. Unless you take deliberate steps to cleanse and rid your life of these poisons on a regular basis, you won’t even be able to see the life amazingly abundant life God wants for you.
Discover Your Purpose. Far too often I meet successful women who “have it all” but are still searching for more. It’s because success without purpose is meaningless and empty. If you don’t know your ture God-given purpose, there will always be hole in your life and there is not enough money (fame, romance, friendship, status, accomplishments…) in the world to fill it.
Live With Passion. You weren’t created just to exist. Your life is meant to be lived and enjoyed. We miss so many amazing moments in our lives because we don’t know how to fully experience life. One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it’s worth watching.
Activate Your Power. This is your life…not your mom’s…or your spouse’s…or Oprah’s. It’s your life and you have the power to make it what you want it to be. When you stop settling for other people’s standards and begin to live the life you really want, you can’t help but love the life you live.
Conquer Your Dreams. Unfulfilled dreams are a great source of frustration and discontentment for many women. Life just seems to get in the way as what you really want gets pushed to the back burner. The message you’re sending to yourself is “I’m not worth it. What I want is not really that important.” No wonder you’re not loving your life. Chand the message. What is it that you want to accomplish? What is your true heart’s desire? Taking even the first step toward making your dreams a reality will create a huge shift.
Take The First Step
Your first step is to choose. Will you exist or will you live?
